My personal opinion in regard to the Majority Culture's refusal to accept and honor Native Americans as equals.

It
is a grievous thing that the guests of this land most often refuse to
walk in humility before the CREATOR in their relationships with the
Original American People. It is well past the time for all men, regardless of the
color of their skin or culture to understand that we are all the same before the CREATOR
of all men
everywhere. History teaches us that the very real willingness of many of the Original American's to share their possessions was most often rejected by the invaders who would only be satisfied by exterminating the care takers of the land. That often included innocent women, children and the aged who could not defend themselves against large bands of attackers or army's. **Be sure to read the 'massacres' page in order to get some form of understanding of the invaders seemingly inability to live among the Original American's as human beings. Often the gospel of JESUS CHRIST was presented to the Original American's with a Bible in one hand and a gun in the other. The clear message was to turn away from the Indian way (dammed), or be murdered where you stand. No wonder less than 3% of all Native American's have received JESUS as their personal SAVIOR after more than 200 years of preaching by the Majority Culture. Only a few miles from where I live exists a famous Indian School originally built in order to take 'the Indian' out of the Yakama children. Any lack of obedience to take on European ways by completely abandoning all cultural thinking and acts, often lead to torture and or murder. Even a moderate attempt to educate oneself in the true history of America will bring repentance to the heart of a Christian in regard to how the Original American People have every right to be sorrowful that the Europeans ever came to this continent. It is my personal opinion that what GOD intended to be a blessing for all by bringing the European people to America was mostly ruined by the sin, greed and avarice of the majority of those who came to this continent. Today, the last things Native American's need is the day to day involvement of 'The Great White Father' through such organizations as the BIA. One example would be that it is illegal for a Native American to own and wear a Eagle Feather unless the BIA has issued it to him, or regulates where and when a Native American is allowed to fish in order to feed his family! Just because we find that many cultures are different, does not mean that it is the 'Majority Culture' way or the highway!

John 1:7 teaches us; "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the
light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his
Son, purifies us from all sin."
